Sunflowers & Sonnets was founded by a qualified English teacher with over five years of classroom experience across both primary and secondary settings.

Having taught GCSE English Language and Literature, Functional Skills English, and Primary English, she brings a deep understanding of curriculum progression from early reading through to exam success. Phonics trained, she supports younger learners in developing strong foundations in reading and writing, while also specialising in GCSE exam technique, essay structure and confidence-building for older students.

With extensive experience working with learners aged 5 to 16 — including those with SEMH and additional learning needs — sessions are carefully adapted to suit each child’s pace, strengths and goals.
